CHARLOTTE FAIRBAIRN
Charlotte Fairbairn was born in Scotland. Her mother was born Elizabeth Mackay and her uncle was Hugh Reay, the 28th Mackay clan chief.
Charlotte has written since she was very young. Her novels include God Breathes His Dreams through Nathaniel Cadwallader, published by Headline; and Cried Out the River for Love, published in 2022. Besides novels, Charlotte has written a number of guidebooks including The Story of Lowther which was a winner in the Lakeland Book of the Year Awards 2018. She is Creative Director at Lowther Castle and a freelance book designer and editor.
Charlotte lives in Cumbria with her dogs Bear and Piglet. Her children Jake and Clara Pople live on a houseboat in Rotherhithe.
